Spacious cab adds to the appeal of McCormick C-Max utility tractor
Comfortable cabin is an alternative to open operator’s platform Four-post design and full-length doors for best visibility and easy access Choice of interior finishes – plain for easy cleaning or upholstered
The five models that make up McCormick’s new C-Max utility tractor range are all now available with a driver’s cabin as an alternative to the open platform.
While the platform version suits operations where low height is critical or where drivers simply prefer to be in the open air, the cab provides weather protection and, when the optional air conditioning is fitted, a cool working environment during hot summer days.
The McCormick C-Max is an economical ‘no frills’ tractor for farmers and growers wanting a simple specification but with all the performance and build quality that the ‘McCormick’ name represents. There are five models from 43-72.5kW (58-98hp) with two- or four-wheel drive versions.
The C-Max cabin is a four-post design with fully glazed doors that enclose both sides of the structure, so there are no side pillars to interrupt visibility whether looking left or right. A large windscreen that opens for added ventilation gives the driver a clear view ahead. The exhaust system is mounted on the right-hand cab pillar so there is nothing to get in the way of forward view. This specification also includes a rear window wiper and an upholstered finish for the interior.
A roof window is standard with the cab, adding to the light and airy atmosphere while also providing a view of implements on a raised front-end loader. A powerful heating and ventilation system is built-in, with controls neatly installed in the right-rear cab pillar where they are out of the way but still within easy reach when needed.
Control layout is identical on platform and cab versions of the McCormick C-Max: the gear lever and short range lever are to the driver’s right, while the forward-reverse synchro shuttle lever is positioned on the side of the instrument panel cowling to the left of the steering wheel.
To save unnecessary clutter, this lever is also used to engage the creep and overdrive gears when fitted.
